1900 James CRAFT & Son, Inc. was founded by Faros Craft, a small-town blacksmith, table maker, and carpenter. |

1920's Faros son, James W. Craft, joined the company. CRAFT added plumbing, heating, and tinwork services

1940s CRAFT purchased its first red Ford truck. CRAFT trucks have been red ever since.
1950s James E. Craft joined the team the third generation. CRAFT identified and focused it resources on its real passion mechanical contracting.
1960's CRAFT began working on air conditioning, storm water, and sanitary sewage disposal system projects. The company established an in-house sheet metal fabrication and installation department, as well as a formal apprenticeship program.
1970's - CRAFT added electrical and sprinkler departments. The fourth generation of Crafts join the company. From L to R; seated are Vicki E. Kearns & James L. Craft; standing are Thomas A. Craft, William D. Craft & Frederick A. Craft.
1980s CRAFT expanded to operate as a full-service mechanical and electrical contractor. It added building automation and energy management control systems to its capabilities.
2000's CRAFT celebrates its centennial. It is still growing and going strong! The fifth generation of Craft's are preparing to work for the company

CRAFT continues to offer quality engineering design and installation. Its York Haven headquarters (pictured above) is an automated, state-of-the-art shop facility, and a convenient branch office (pictured below) is located in Chambersburg.

CRAFT proudly operates as a merit shop with more than 200 full-time employees.
